
Many areas of Australia received soaking rains over the weekend and Australian farmers are hoping it signals the end of a years-long drought.
Parts of Queensland, New South Wales and Western
Australia saw significant rainfall for the first time in years. Some areas have
received more rain, since the first of the year, than in all of 2019.
The rain is also good news for firefighters. Widespread rains have extinguished many of the remaining bushfires across the continent.
