Bayer says not only did it complete the largest acquisition in
its history last year, it also secured operational targets.
Werner Baumann, Bayer’s chairman of the board of management, says the company’s sales were up by 13 percent and earnings were up 3 percent.
Bayer says the Crop Science division saw an increase in
sales and earnings because of the acquisition. The division had sales of $16.3
billion, and the acquired business accounted for $6 billion of that amount.
