A soybean farmer says markets haven’t moved much after China’s
latest announcements to buy U.S. soybeans. American Soybean Association director Ronnie
Russell from Missouri tells Brownfield verbal commitments by China help, but prices
haven’t gone up.
“We have a lot of soybeans right now and we need to find a way to get that market back open into China.”
He says work is underway to develop North Africa, India, South East Asia, Japan, the EU and other areas as new or expanded markets to make up the lost exports.
