Soybean futures were narrowly mixed, with limited spillover pressure in the nearby contracts from the broader market. Beans will continue to wait for signs of new export demand from China, with sales since the trade ceasefire falling short of the 5 million to 10 million tons the market had been expecting. China will repeal tariffs on “alternative” feed meals starting January 1st, not including soybean meal. Face to face talks are expected to resume after the first of the year.
