The EPA urges agriculture to comment on its new Clean Water
rule proposal, “We really encourage the stakeholders, particularly agriculture,
to comment. Read the proposal, comment. Let us know what we got right. Let us
know what we got wrong.”
Dave Ross, EPA’s Assistant Administrator for Water, tells
Brownfield the goal with the new rule is simplicity, “Where landowners can know
whether or not there’s a federal water on their land without having to hire
expensive consultants and lawyers and go through that process.
