The National Farmers Union is using an unusual tool to reach out for consumer education. Mark Watne with North Dakota Farmers Union tells Brownfield they will be traveling with a special motorcycle. “We called Paul Teutul Jr. up, who does American Choppers, and asked him if he was willing, and he literally called us back personally and told us he loved farmers and would love to build a bike that could draw attention to family farm agriculture.”
Watne says along with using the chopper to draw in non-farm consumers for a conversation about their food, they are also promoting ethanol use.
