Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts
Efforts to recruit new ag-related businesses and industries to Nebraska will be one of the topics discussed at the annual Governor’s Ag Conference March 4th and 5th in Kearney.
Governor Pete Ricketts says the Costco chicken plant at Fremont is a great example of why business recruitment efforts are important.
“That facility will not only create 800 jobs in Fremont, but will give the opportunities for 125 farmers to put up poultry barns that will allow them to be able to diversify their revenue stream, built equity and—importantly—bring young people back into the family business, farming,” Ricketts says.
