Ohio Governor Mike DeWine says there will be increased
funding for improving water quality in his upcoming budget proposal.
“We have to be willing to put money behind it,” he says. “We
can’t expect farmers to carry the whole burden and we’re going to have to make
that commitment over a long period of time.”
During Ohio Farm Bureau’s annual Ag Day at the Capital,
DeWine said the budget will target water quality across the entire state, not
just Lake Erie.
