A winterly blast over the Thanksgiving weekend should slow the last of harvest.
USDA meteorologist Brad Rippey says the Great Lakes, Northeast and Mid-Atlantic are in line for a blast of Arctic air which should bring significantly below normal temperatures, windy conditions and a storm system moving in from the West and Midwest. “We’re going to be looking at a very sloppy, wet system that’s going to be developing across the Mississippi Valley, spreading eastward.
