Worries U.S. has already lost foothold in China

Apprehension about the U.S. losing its foothold in China remain even though leaders from both countries declared a cease fire on tariffs over the weekend.

American Soybean Association treasurer Bill Gordon, a farmer from Minnesota, says the U.S. must fight to stay competitive regardless of what the Chinese might agree to.

“It’s always going to be a worry, even if this (trade dispute) goes behind us.  South America has areas that are not in production now, I believe it’s 8 million acres that they could take out of the scrub brush and bring into production.
