30-year-old Minnesota doctor Connor Bowman has been arrested and is facing charges of second-degree murder, with the possibility of an elevation to first-degree murder, after being accused of poisoning his 32-year-old wife in August.
The investigation, prompted by the Mayo Clinic Medical Examiner’s Office, began when the wife was admitted to the emergency room on August 16 for diarrhea and dehydration.
Tragically, her condition deteriorated, leading to her death four days later.
Authorities received a tip that Bowman might have been involved, and after an investigation revealed sufficient evidence and probable cause, he was charged.
Bowman’s alleged actions included administering medication for ailments that neither he nor his wife actually suffered from.
It’s noteworthy that Bowman had previously worked for poison control.
