Two Men Die After Falling into Manure Tanker in Upstate New York

Two men tragically died after falling into a manure tanker at Champion Farm in Clinton, New York.

The victims have been identified as 33-year-old Nathan Doody from DeRuyter and 29-year-old Tyler Memory from Tully. Neither man was an employee of the farm.

The incident occurred on June 13, around 11 a.m., when the Kirkland Police Department responded to a call about two unconscious individuals inside a manure tanker on Champion Road.

According to initial investigations, one of the men had attempted to retrieve a piece of equipment that had fallen into the tanker and lost consciousness, falling inside. The second man, in an attempt to help, also passed out and fell into the tanker.

Farm staff quickly contacted emergency services. The Clinton Fire Department, COCVAC Ambulance, and Mercy Flight arrived to provide medical assistance, and both men were transported to Wynn Hospital. Unfortunately, they were pronounced dead at the hospital. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
