In a long-awaited move, Walmart has declared a pay raise for its store managers, marking the first adjustment in over a decade.
The retailer is increasing the average pay for managers by over 9%, resulting in an average salary of $128,000, up from $117,000.
The pay range for managers, which previously started at $65,000, will now commence at $90,000.
Managers also have the potential to earn additional bonuses based on store profits, with the possibility of bonuses reaching up to 200% of their base salaries if they meet specified targets.
The pay adjustment is set to take effect on February 1.
