Nebraska’s corn and soybean harvest is moving along near the five-year average.
The USDA says 13% of the state’s corn has been harvested. Seventy-one percent of the crop is mature with 96% dented.
The state’s soybean harvest is also 13% complete, near 15% last year. Eighty-one percent of the crop is dropping leaves.
Winter wheat is 40% planted, behind the five-year average of 56%.
Pasture and range conditions are rated 8% good-to-excellent.
