Corn planting is underway in Nebraska.
USDA says as of Sunday 2% of the state’s expected corn crop has been planted, near 1% for both last year and the five-year average.
Winter wheat is rated 70% good to excellent in the state.
Nebraska’s oat planting reached 59% completion, ahead of 40% on average, with 20% of the crop emerged.
