2019 USDA corn, soybean crop totals out Friday

The USDA’s final assessment of the 2019 corn and soybean crops is out Friday.

Ahead of the report, on average, analysts expect the production, yield, and harvested area numbers to be below what the USDA was projecting in November, following widespread harvest delays in many key U.S. growing areas. The average projection for corn is 13.513 billion bushels with an average yield of 166.2 bushels per acre and harvested area of 81.350 million acres, while beans are seen at 3.512 billion bushels with an average yield of 46.6 bushels per acre and harvested area of 75.462 million acres.
