Warm and dry conditions
allowed fieldwork in Ohio last week.
According to the USDA, corn
and soybean conditions improved slightly.
Corn is 38 percent good to
excellent.
Soybeans are 95 percent
planted and 33 percent good to excellent.
Farmers were able to make
wheat harvest progress. Winter wheat is 95 percent mature and 64 percent harvested.
Lance Honig with the National Ag Statistics Service told Brownfield recently the planted percentage each week gives an indication of how far along in the planting progress farmers are on a weekly basis.
