Nebraska’s largest ag classroom will help connect more than 5,000 students to hands-on agriculture experiences at this year’s state fair.
NSF Executive Director Jaime Jamie Parr tells Brownfield students in rural and urban school districts will gain a better understanding of the farm-to-fork concept. “We have people throughout the grounds who are talking about what that animal contributes to agriculture and how that animal, you know, kind of touches that, that youth at some point.”
The three-day event provides information to students in 3rd-6th grade on milking, soil and water quality, dairy products, pork, soybeans and other commodities.
