The USDA says Ohio farmers made modest harvest progress last week despite relatively high corn moisture levels.
Nine percent of corn was harvested as of Sunday, below the five-year average pace of 16%, with 63% of the crop mature and 95% dented.
Soybeans harvested reached 24% completion, down from 30% on average, with 92% of the crop dropping leaves.
USDA says 31% of the state’s expected winter wheat crop has been planted and 4% has emerged.
