Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or below-normal temperatures across much of the western and central U.S., while warmer-than-normal weather will prevail along the immediate Pacific Coast and east of a line from Texas to Lake Superior.
Meanwhile, below-normal precipitation across Florida’s peninsula and the western U.S. should contrast with wetter-than-normal conditions from the Mississippi Valley to the Appalachians, as well as the southern Plains and western Gulf Coast region.
