The FDA has traced a multi-state outbreak of E. coli in romaine lettuce to a farm in Santa Barbara, California but says other farms could still be implicated. It says a positive sample result for the outbreak strain was found in an irrigation reservoir on a farm owned and operated by Adam Brothers Farming but that doesn’t fully explain the common source of the contamination.
Adam Brothers is now recalling cauliflower, red leaf lettuce, and green leaf lettuce that might also be contaminated with E.
