The president of the Ohio Farm Bureau says there’s a fine line between farmland preservation and protecting property rights.
Bill Patterson says, “One would think they are the same thing, but they’re not.”
He says outlining the organization’s policy on the issue is one of the top priorities for delegates this week. “For example, Senate Bill 52, which allowed local government to put zoning overlays, basically, to ban solar over entire areas and moved it from the state,” he says.
