A telecommunications specialist expects more heavy lifting as high-speed broadband is deployed throughout rural America.
Rick Cimerman with the Internet and Television Association says federal funding continues to target the unserved and underserved parts of the U.S.
“Those programs have had varying degrees of success, they haven’t always had the right framework or regulatory parameters or bounds to make it work.”
He tells Brownfield the latest round of funding totals more than $42 billion and focuses on unserved areas.
