A lot to consider when selecting the right cover crop species

There’s a lot that goes into determining what species of cover crops work best on individual farms.

Tricia Verville with the Soil Health Partnership says farmers should consider how the crop fits into their operation.

“Herbicide and crop rotation, what your equipment is like, how you’re going to seed it in, (and) if you need that  extra diversity.”
