The director of the Minnesota State Cattlemen’s Association says it has been a pretty good fall for producers.
Ashley Kohls tells Brownfield feedlot operators took advantage of favorable early autumn weather, getting feedstuffs put up.
“Then we had that big stretch of rain, and that kind of shortened the life of some pastures because it got really, really wet and muddy. And it was cold.”
That was followed by a stretch of dry weather which expedited harvest.
