A seasonally active pattern continues on the northern, central Plains; mild across the Midwest

Across the Corn Belt, any wintry weather is limited to western areas.  Rain is falling Wednesday in central and eastern sections.  Significantly above-normal temperatures prevail throughout the eastern Corn Belt, with Wednesday’s high temperatures expected to top 55°F in parts of Ohio.  The combination of rain and unfrozen fields is limiting off-season fieldwork activities.

On the Plains, wintry weather prevails as far south as Kansas and northern Missouri.  In fact, winter storm conditions are still disrupting post-holiday travel and stressing livestock in northern and central sections areas.
