Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or above-normal temperatures and precipitation across most of the U.S. Cooler-than-normal conditions will be confined to northern California and the Northwest.
Meanwhile, drier-than-normal weather should be limited to the southern Atlantic region, as well as an area stretching from the Great Basin to the central Rockies.
