Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or above-normal temperatures nationwide, except for cooler-than-normal conditions from the southern Plains into much of the Southeast. Meanwhile, near- or above-normal rainfall across the West and Southeast should contrast with drier-than-normal weather across large sections of the mid-South, Midwest, Plains, and Northeast.
