About a week of planting till July

A Michigan farmer says he typically finishes planting in May, but for this year it ran into the first week of July.

“In May we worked for about three days, and then we worked in June a few days and we’re still working in July.”       

Also a custom harvester, Bob Gibson tells Brownfield he just
finished up first cutting alfalfa and expects forage shortages to be
widespread.

Gibson grows corn, soybeans, alfalfa and wheat outside of Kalamazoo.
