The CEO of the American Coalition for Ethanol (ACE) is confident corn-based ethanol will remain a viable fuel source for years to come.
ACE CEO Brian Jennings says as the industry watches emerging technologies like electric vehicles, ethanol should continue to be a low-cost, low-carbon, and high-octane choice for consumers.
“We are confident that a higher octane fuel is going to be necessary in the future. It’s a matter of when, not if.”
He tells Brownfield oil refiners can produce high-octane fuel, but not as efficiently as ethanol plants.
