The president of the Advanced Biofuels Association (ABFA) does not agree with Scott Pruitt’s contention that hardship waivers are granted objectively.
“I have a different view,” said Michael McAdams, president of the ABFA. That organization is suing the EPA over the waivers. The increase in the number of waivers granted since Pruitt began at the EPA indicates that something has changed, according to McAdams.
“What we think he had specifically instructed the staff at EPA to do is lower the thresholds so that you could have more people found to have a disproportionate economic hardship,” said McAdams.
