Association of Equipment Manufacturers President Dennis Slater says escalating trade tensions with China threaten many of the 1.3 million jobs supported by U.S. equipment manufacturing. Slater says tariffs on Chinese goods hurt U.S. access to global markets resulting in U.S. farmers losing out at a time of sagging income. He says the Trump administration should be looking for ways to improve the U.S. trade relationship with China.
