The USDA Ag Census has gotten back just over half of the questionnaires it has sent out to gather data on this year’s farming operations. Bob Garino is USDA’s statistician in Missouri, “It’s not as good as we like and that’s part of the reason, I think, we’re extending the deadline. We didn’t really have a hard, fixed deadline, I think. But, I think compared to past censuses we’re going to extend it a little longer.”
The new deadline to reply to the Ag Census ONLINE questionnaire is July 31st.
