University of Illinois ag economist Scott Irwin says it’s too soon to say if the biofuels and ag industries gained any ground in Tuesday’s White House RFS meeting.
“At this point my own view is, I certainly would not see today as a big win—definitely, overall—for ag. But also it’s not yet a big loss. It’s yet to be determined,” Irwin says.
According to various reports, meeting attendees agreed there would be no RIN cap and President Trump reiterated his pledge to allow year-round E15 sales.
