More than 40 agricultural groups sent a letter to President Trump asking the administration to be mindful of supply chain and workforce impacts on the ag community during the coronavirus pandemic.
With spring planting approaching, farmers and ranchers face the potential for weather and price-related challenges as well as new uncertainties.
The groups say challenges include
accessibility of seed, fertilizer, crop protection products, ag labor,
equipment, feed and ingredients for food-producing animals, modes of transportation,
availability of US government inspection services, and daily movement of milk.
