Teachers can access more than 400 free lesson plans as part
of the National Agriculture in the Classroom program.
Michigan Farm Bureau’s Amelia Miller tells Brownfield curriculum is available for K-12th grade and meets state and national educational standards.
“The database is huge because it’s a national collaboration, there are states all across the country that are contributing ideas and lessons.”
Educators can access the lessons at miagclassroom.org.
Miller says teachers can also learn about the FARM Science lab, which reached more than 3,000 students just in September, classroom grant opportunities and more.
