Agronomist: don’t rush to change planting intentions

DEKALB Asgrow Agronomist Jason Harmon says although many farmers are facing planting delays, they shouldn’t be in a rush to change planting intentions.

“I think you need to pencil out what you can do on your farm to maximize your acres, but I think corn is still a really good product,” he says.

He tells Brownfield his advice to corn farmers is to stick with their original rotation if possible.

“Currently commodity prices are influencing corn the most,” he says.
