An agronomist says farmers in the Upper Midwest probably
have another three weeks before needing to alter corn planting intentions.
Adam Spelhaug with Peterson Farms Seed tells Brownfield the last week of May is when he’d start looking hard at alternatives.
“I kind of use May 20th to May 25th as kind of my date for starting to swap maturities around, or maybe think about moving out of things. And that’s usually only if you’re really pushing maturity.
