The U.S. Trade Representative says the 14 partner countries of the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework are making progress on trade negotiations.
Ambassador Katherine Tai tells Brownfield tariff barriers are not part of the discussion. “We’re working with our partners in the Asian region to make sure that the regulations and the processes and the procedures that apply to our agricultural trade can be more transparent and more predictable.”
She says there’s a big emphasis on sustainable agriculture practices.
