Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or below-normal temperatures in the West, while warmer-than-normal weather will prevail from the Plains to the Atlantic Coast. Meanwhile, wetter-than-normal conditions will cover much of the country, with near- or below-normal precipitation limited to areas from southern California to western Texas.
