Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or below-normal temperatures from the Pacific Coast to the Rockies and northern Plains, while warmer-than-normal weather will cover the eastern half of the U.S.
Meanwhile, near- or below-normal precipitation along the Pacific Coast, as well as southern Texas and much of Florida, should contrast with wetter-than-normal weather across the remainder of the country.
