Multiple disturbances traversing the central and eastern U.S. will maintain showery conditions in many areas over the next several days.

Five-day rainfall totals should reach 1 to 3 inches or more from the central Plains to the Atlantic Coast.  Higher totals in parts of the Northeast may lead to flash flooding, especially late in the weekend.  However, rain will largely bypass several areas, including much of Texas, the western Gulf Coast region, the northern Plains, and the upper Midwest.
