Lingering showers and thunderstorms across the South will end by mid-week. Meanwhile, a slow-moving Pacific storm system will drift southward near the West Coast before pushing inland late in the week across southern California and the Southwest.
Much of California will experience a multi-day period of precipitation, including another round of high-elevation snow. Valley rain in California could aggravate agricultural flood concerns, including the re-appearance of Tulare Lake. Late in the week, the storm system will traverse the Rockies, central Plains, and Midwest.
