US-China trade
talks are set to continue this month, but Rabo AgriFinance Senior Grain and
Oilseed Analyst Steve Nicholson says the trade dispute likely won’t end anytime
soon.
“They’re going to be willing to wait this out,” he says. “They’ll probably wait until the 2020 election to see what happens here and they may be willing to wait another four years if the president would be reelected.”
He says although
the agriculture industry is resilient, it will be difficult to make up for the
lost markets.
