Farmers in Arkansas were able to make some planting progress last week, despite rainfall keeping many out of the fields for about half of the week.
The USDA says 91% of corn is planted and 76% has emerged, both well ahead of the respective five-year averages, and 64% of the crop is in good to excellent shape, up 2% on the week.
65% of soybeans are planted and 46% have emerged, also both faster than average.
