Harvest is underway in Arkansas.
According to the latest USDA Crop and Weather report 22 percent
of the corn crop has been harvested, with 78 percent mature and 97 percent in
the dent stage. Eleven percent of the
rice crop has been harvested with 62 percent mature and 97 percent headed. Just 1 percent of soybeans have been
harvested with 14 percent dropping leaves, 32 percent turning color, and 95 percent
setting pods. Forty-two percent of the
cotton crop is opening bolls and 86 percent of the crop is rated good to
excellent.
Sixty-seven percent of pastures are rated good to
excellent.
