Gary Riedel was inducted Wednesday into the Missouri Soybean Hall of
Fame. The Centralia soybean grower served as president of the Missouri Soybean
Association in the early 80s and the American Soybean Association in the early
90s. He tells Brownfield the soybean checkoff, which he was involved in founding,
has resulted in greater demand for soybeans.
“The market development has been big, the new uses have been big,” Riedel told
Brownfield Ag News after accepting the honor.
