August was a big month for beef exports. Dan Halstrom, CEO of the US Meat Export Federation says beef exports were up 7 percent on volume and a record on the beef value at 751-million-dollars. He says it’s a combination of several different markets performing well. “You have a market like Korea that’s up 39 percent, and a lot of other markets – Japan, Taiwan, that region as a whole – all up significantly,” he says.
