Avian influenza has been detected in another commercial poultry flock in southern Indiana.
The Indiana State Board of Animal Health says laboratory testing of a commercial turkey flock in Dubois County identified H5 avian influenza virus. It is considered a presumptive-positive case until samples are verified at the USDA National Veterinary Services Laboratory in Iowa.
This is the sixth farm in Indiana to be diagnosed with avian influenza. Three of the previous cases are in Dubois County and two are in Greene County.
