Bayer AG has agreed with plaintiffs in a St. Louis glyphosate
trial that was to have begun Friday to postpone it and enter into settlement
talks. A statement from Bayer says the parties will continue the mediation
process but “there is no comprehensive agreement at this time. There also is no
certainty or timetable for a comprehensive resolution.”
Thousands of lawsuits allege plaintiffs’ exposure to Roundup has their caused cancer. A settlement could potentially be reached on the remaining cases.
